About Me

Yoga, CrossFit and bodyweight workout and nutrition enthusiast, my decade-long career as a Life Coach for a personal growth company in Portland, Oregon (this website and that company are not affiliated) for the last ten years. This has helped me dedicate myself to continually push myself out of my comfort zone to grow and change.

My love of personal growth has led me to all sorts of corners of the bookstore and lines of thinking, continual self-reformatting...with plenty of bumps and bruises along the way that I would like to help you avoid, as I've got a super-sized knack for over-complicating things at times, thereby taking far more time, effort and energy than is needed.

By using my personal experiences as examples, my desire here is to help you understand and see how -- and why -- you can reach all sorts of goals easily and create happiness in much smaller -- and much more gainful steps than you may have been taking before.

SKILLS
  • Life Coach training through Bill Harris at Centerpointe Research institute; employed there in that role since 2002 (Small Change Life and Centerpointe are not affiliated).
  • NLP
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Shamanic Practitioner
  • Over a decade's experience in fitness and nutrition (self-taught, always continuing research and learning.)

AS A LIFE COACH I HELP MY CLIENTS:
  • Identify / clarify goals
  • Work on necessary action steps and how to achieve them
  • Help them learn how to become solution-oriented, rather than problem-focused
  • Assist in identifying obstacles and how to navigate around them
  • Uncover unconscious beliefs and self-talk that get in the way, then help the client find better ones.
  • Find ways to create self-motivation, self-encouragement and a sense of accomplishment
  • Move through difficult transitions
  • Find an easier, happier, more productive path to the life the client wants
  • Reclaim a sense of renewed self-empowerment
  • Realize that he or she already knows the answers and that they're merely temporarily obscured.
....Always with a sense of humor and full belief in the person with whom I'm working.
